Next up in the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge series is the Upper Esopus Fire Tower! Introduced by the NYDEC, the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge involves hiking all 6 fire towers in the Catskills to earn a patch and be entered to win some cool hiking gear! Added in 2019, the Upper Esopus tower is the newest addition to the previous Catskills Fire Tower Challenge.

The hike is roughly 1/2 mile in total, just a short walk from the Catskills Visitor Center. A refreshing change from the often challenging Catskills terrain, this hike will focus on immersing ourselves in nature. We will have plenty of time to take a deeper examination of the forest through nature meditation and a tutorial (and materials) for botanical drawing.

Snacks, a mountain top picnic, and materials for drawing are included!
