Next up in the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge series we will be tackling both the Tremper Mountain and Upper Esopus Fire Towers in one trip! Introduced by the NYDEC, the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge involves hiking all 6 fire towers in the Catskills to earn a patch and be entered to win some cool hiking gear! Added in 2019, the Upper Esopus tower is the newest addition to the previous Catskills Fire Tower Challenge.

This hike is moderately challenging covering about 6.5 miles of total hiking. We will hike Tremper Mountain and tag the fire tower at its summit before heading to the Catskills Visitor Center where we will take a very short hike to visit the Upper Esopus Fire Tower.

After the hike we will head to Woodstock Brewery for a celebratory brew.

Lunch is included. Limited transportation from Cold Spring NY available, and discounts offered to hikers with cars who are willing to carpool.
